This very special project involved the design of a brand new home for a family of four.
With a focus on a neutral colour palette, natural textures and thoughtful, refined details this home pays homage to Australian mid century design and takes into account the surrounding local architecture, characterised by a combination of red brick and weatherboard homes.
The interiors feature polished concrete floors, timber cabinetry, wool carpets and soft linen curtains. Each room draws from the overall concept of Modern Australian, designed not on trends but on materials and finishes that will stand the test of time – and rigorous enough for the rumblings of a young family.
Designed in conjunction with Pleysier Perkins and built by InForm, this home is a true reflection of the Rebecca Pountney Design aesthetic.
